www.mkweb.co.uk the official web site for Milton Keynes and North Bucks celebrated a significant milestone when the number of pages delivered during a month exceeded one million for the first time.

This achievement confirms MKWeb's position as the most popular website in the local area. An achievement complemented by the recent high ranks MKWeb has reached in two reports examining Local Authority websites.

MKWeb was ranked 3rd out of all local authority websites by SOCITM (the Society of IT Management) in their recent "Better Connected 2003" report*. Beaten only by the Corporation of London and the hi-tech city of Cambridge, MKWeb outpaced 464 other local authority web sites that were surveyed.

At the same time MKWeb has also been ranked 7th out of 383 local government sites by the National Audit Office, in their report "Government on the web II", which looked at the detail and quality of information delivered.

When asked to comment on the recent success of MKWeb, Tony Sellers, Managing Director of MKWeb was delighted, "This is just another example of the Milton Keynes can-do attitude.
