Private & Public Galleries & Libraries
Public images are available to all Weblet owners whilst those in a private gallery are only available to the designated owner. Images may be uploaded via a browser with no additional software and a simple to use resizing facility is available for JPEG format

Document library, Multiple File Formats Portal Constructor enables the creation of private and public libraries of documents. Documents in a private library can only be managed or referenced by the relevant owner, whereas all Weblet owners may use those in the public library.

A document in this context includes nearly all file types including Word processor, spreadsheets, PDF's, audio, video, and images. To prevent long download times the administrator can set file size limits, and the use of executable files is barred for security reasons.

Databases, Multiple Easy to Enable
With Portal Constructor it is easy to generate and use queries from the underlying databases. The results of queries can be displayed in an attractive way with no database programming skills.

As and when new requirements need to be met it is simple for the administrator to configure and generate a new database using the database search/dislay wizard module. After the database has been set up queries can be configured that Weblet owners can use by embedding then into an article. For example by inserting a query a list of accommodation will be displayed.

Archiving
Although much content as a 'sell by date' it is often a good idea to retain it for future reference or perhaps later reuse. To facilitate this an article may be moved to the archive, although not now displayed it will still be the subject of any search. A Weblet owner can bring it out of the archive when required.

Future Services
At Apollo we are very aware of the evolving e-government agenda, and that transactions enabling the ability to pay for council services are coming to the fore. We have a planned roll out of generic transaction modules that will meet these requirement.

Easy Link Insertion
Inserting a link to another Weblet or internal article requires no knowledge of its URL. These can be inserted into an article or abstract, at will by the Weblet owner. Links to external sites can be made by following the standard URL format.

Any Level of Granularity
A distinct advantage of the information cluster model is that it is not required at the outset to determine the level of detail or granularity the content will go to. For example at one end of the scale a cluster might start on care of the countryside. For some reason this subject does not excite a lot of interest and after the initial information is published little is added. At the other end a topic might be added, for example arts with in the city that stimulates a number of further clusters, possibly ceramics, sculpture, murals, with the sculpture cluster growing into clusters on sculpture walks, sculpture workshops and stories about the statues in the parks. None of this growth could have been reliably predicted at the outset.
