Moving Home Change of Address


Use this form to tell us about changes in circumstances so that we can amend your Council Tax bill correctly.


Council Tax Disregard Forms

If you think you may be entitled to a discount or exemption from your Council Tax please use the appropriate form from the list below

Apprentice


You are not counted if you are an apprentice employed to learn a job and are undertaking training leading to a qualification recognised by the National Council for Vocational Qualifications. You must be paid less than £160 per week.

Carers


You are not counted if you either provide care working for a charity on low pay, such as a community service volunteer, or if you care for someone with a disability who is not your husband, wife, partner or a child under 18.


Persons in Detention


Prisoners who are on remand or in prison are not counted. However, for people who are imprisoned for not paying a fine or non-payment of Council Tax, the disregard will not apply. Those detained under the Mental Health Act 1983 are also not counted.

Religious Communities


You are not counted if you are a member of a religious community with no income of your own such as monks and nuns.


Severely Mentally Impaired


People who are severely mentally impaired are not counted. For someone to be disregarded, a certificate is needed from a doctor to show severe mental impairment, and the person who is severely mentally impaired must also be entitled to one of a number of benefits.


Single Occupier


If you are the only adult living in your home you can apply for a 25% discount

Student


You are not counted if you are a student (which includes an overseas student) on a full-time course of education or on a qualifying course of education. Foreign language assistants registered with the Central Bureau for Educational Visits and Exchanges are also considered students.

Student Nurse


You are disregarded if you are a student nurse on a course leading to registration on Parts 1 to 6 or 8 of the Nursing Register. Nurses who are already on the Register are not disregarded. Student nurses studying academic courses at university or polytechnic are excluded from this.


Under 20 in Further Education


You are not counted if you are 18 or 19 years old and are in full-time education (but not higher education) or if you are at least 18 years old and someone is receiving Child Benefit for you, or would be if you were not in local authority care.

Visiting Forces


You are not counted if you are a member of a visiting armed force. Your dependants may also be disregarded


Youth Training


You are not counted if you are under 25 and are receiving training in line with an individual training plan under the Youth Training Scheme.

Registration - Skin piercing and tattooing


This form should be used to register any acupunture, tattooing, ear piercing, or electrolysis activities

Game Dealers Licence


Persons buying and selling game within Milton Keynes are required to have a Game Dealers Licence issued by the Council under the Game Act 1831. (NB: Game dealers must also hold an excise licence under the Game Licences Act 1860 - this licence is issued by the Post Office.)

Butchers Shop Application


Persons selling unwrapped raw meat and ready to eat food are required to obtain a license. Completed application forms should then be returned to the address given in License contacts details above

Public Entertainment Licence - Outdoor


This application should be completed for any public musical entertainment held mainly outdoor. Application forms must be recieved at least 28 days in advance of the event.

Dangerous Wild Animals

Scrap Metal Dealer


Completed application forms should be returned to the address given in License contacts details above

Late Night Refreshments


This application applies to the opening of a premises for public refreshment or entertainment between the hours of 11.00 p.m. and 5 a.m.

Street Trading Consent


New restriction limit the streets on which you can trade. A list of prohibited streets is provided in the information and a list of consent streets is attached to the application for a license.

Theatre - Grant /renewal /transfer Licence

Public Entertainment Licence - Indoor

Food Premises


Registration will be needed for premises used for food business (including market stalls, delivery vehicles and other moveable structures) at least 5 times within 5 consecutive weeks.

Cinematograph Licence

Gaming Act

Dog Breeding Establishment

Animal Boarding

Street Collection


This covers the collection of money and the sale of articles for the benefit of a Charitable organisation

House To House Collections


A license must be obtained for all house to house collections

Cinema Exhibition - Video film, Karaoke or jukebox

Lotteries


All lotteries where tickets are sold prior to the date of the draw require a license

Sex Establishment
