The Chief Executive's Office comprises four key areas for Milton Keynes Council; Policy, Democratic Services, Corporate Communications and The Community Safety Partnership.
Corporate Policy:
The team is responsible for developing and supporting policy initiatives across the council and acts as a point of contact with external bodies on issues of corporate importance.
Functions & Responsibilities
Democratic Services:
Democratic Services is responsible for supporting the decision making, constitutional, ceremonial and democratic framework of the Council, and for the scrutiny of the Council's decisions and services.
Communications:
This area is responsible for the management of all communications from the council including its regular monthly magazine "Live MK" and the internal newsletter "Roundabout".

Community Safety Partnership:
Community Safety has become a joint responsibility between councils and police authorities so this area is staffed by MKC officers and representatives from Thames Valley Police. This area undertakes the Community Strategy Audit and develops the Community Safety Strategy whilst housing the DAT (Drug Action Team) and managing the Community Wardens programme.
